    In the old system, the undefeated defending national champ wouldnt be getting the chance to defend its title.

    The Big 12's little co-champions stunt probably helped cost them a bid. I imagine the committee knew it was an effort at manipulation.

    Actually, calculations of the old system would have had an Alabama-Florida State game and the Pac-12 would have been screwed, as usual.

    Over on the noncontroversial side of the bracket, Florida State-Oregon should be most entertaining. I stick to my opinion of some weeks earlier that Alabama will crush Ohio State.
