It is interesting that, in the past few weeks, the ESPN talking heads have shifted from their early-season "Big 10 sucks" storyline to talking up Ohio State.

I'm not saying Ohio State isn't a good team ... just noting it's almost as if ESPN had an idea which way the "final four" would turn out.

Actually, I'm not either. It's a weak conference, but Ohio State showed itself to be ridiculously ahead of the rest of the pack.

I also think Ohio St-Bama will be a great game.

And I hope Oregon beats Florida State by 50.

Of course, if Alabama-Ohio State turns out to be a great game, that's only going to anger the Big 12 faction even more. ;)

Alabama has a quarterback, a quality Wisconsin did not. Also, in my experience, teams that lose a starting quarterback are often capable of playing their best in the FIRST game for the new guy, but sustaining that performance becomes more difficult.

PS: The Ohio State as juggernaut theory is based on one game. Nobody would have said that after the Indiana and Michigan games. Perfection is hard to repeat.

Oh, please. Then let's not raise any Florida State as juggernaut theory, either.

The QB is going to have nearly a month to get ready for this game.

Also, Jones appears to come from the "when in doubt, chuck it deep" school. That works very well against Alabama. Even Missouri kept the game close for 2 1/2 quarters by doing that.

Ohio St was playing at a high level last night.

That's right. Once again, I don't think TCU did anything to merit them moving down. But let's not act like the Temple Owls were inserted into the No. 4 spot, either.

Eh, just put TCU against Boise in the Far-Flung Bowl or whatever.

    This time it's Real!

One intangible that committee considered is that Ohio State has a superior band.
