Why don't you list the entire non-conference schedule. It might look different.

Look, one team in FBS played four nonconference Power Five opponents -- UMass. Everybody was going to bring in some patsies.

Not a whole schedule of them, though.

Think it's time for the Big 12 to snatch up some more good Mountain West schools so it can get a conference championship again?

Clearly. Boise and ... CSU? San Diego State?

The committee created a fluid process. Having TCU as 3rd last week now has the feel
of a plot deflection like a mystery writer would do. It created a great "wow I did not
    see that coming".

Big 12 very pointedly did not want Boise last time because Boise's overall academic status is not even close to the lowest tier of the Big 12. Don't know if desperation makes them feel differently about that, but it would be a pretty sharp turn.

The second team is the tough one. None really fit. Probably would be better suited to try to court BYU.

Edit: Maybe a little more outside the box, but what about a team like Houston?

What I liked about the committee was the ate what they were served week to week. TCU's SofS fell of a cliff with Iowa State, Ohio State and Baylor's jumped with Wisconsin and KState.

I figure the Big 12 will swallow the bitter pill, add some teams, have a conference championship game and schedule up. Still unsure how good Ohio State is, they were playing in the Big 10 which didn't exactly cover itself in glory this year.

Acknowledging you're right about the Big Ten ... what exactly did the Big 12 do this year?

Just add SMU and Houston and re-create the old SWC sans Rice.

The only reason the Big 12 doesn't have a championship game now is because DeLoss Dodds and Mack Brown didn't want one. Said it was a trap for a national contender, which they thought Texas would be perennially. Of course, both of them are long gone.

Big 12 non-con wins: Minnesota, Tennessee, Maryland, Iowa; competitive with UCLA, Florida State, Alabama, Auburn.

Not saying their wins are great, but it does make the conference appear deeper than the Big 10. (And yeah, I know about Indiana beating Missouri)
