I realized that my family all has dynamics of the Big XII.

I'm Texas. The big brand that makes the most money but is usually underperforming and goes through partners every few years.

My daughter in Baylor. Means well but, every so often, gets into some sort of scandal that is puzzling.

My son is Oklahoma. Brash, confident and about to move to a place where he'll be just another successful dude.

My mom is Oklahoma State. Loud, underinformed, convinced there is one final payday left from a partner, somewhere out there.

My stepmom is Iowa State. Friendly but always convinced someone is out to screw her over.

My late wife is Colorado. She was elite thirty years ago but she quit trying and lived a later life of scandal and indifference, left thinking it would get better and it never did.
