This game is a wet dream for people who love the Virginia Tech narrative.

I am not among them. Overrated. No championships in anything.

You’re not a fan of BEAMER BALL?

Or multiple shots of Bud Foster?

Or a busted ass lunch pail?

    Or Metallica?

It’s an engineering school of geeks and nerds in the middle of nowhere in a nice college town. Beautiful campus with civil people. They have a football teamthat has been nationally ranked for most of the last 20 years. Relatively scandal free, with a fervent alumni in the DMV.

The narrative is that it’s a clean school and a clean program in a nice town.

Many of their less woke alumni are probably uttering the same sentiments.

You’re talking about the Berkeley of the South here. All of FSU’s alumni are woke.

The ESPN vs. Washington Huskies feud is now a 2018 thing, too

I don't understand the beef between ESPN and UW. They did the cupcake thing during the broadcast of a Huskies game and now this. It isn't like there aren't other top 10 schools that pile up wins against outmatched opponents. Can't help but think it would be different if the Pac12 were a business partner, like the SEC or Texas.

I wish they were a business partner. Then I might actually get the PAC 12 Network.

Now glad that my state doesn't have sports betting... yet. This weekend would have been much, much uglier.

Only after week 1, I don't think I'll even hit the vaunted 55%. Goodness.

You can hate the narrative all you want, but Bud Foster did a hell of a job getting a very young defense ready to play on a big stage last night. True, FSU's offense shit all over itself in the red zone, but Tech had a little to do with that. Starting to see Fuente's recruiting come to fruition. Lots of long, rangy athletes on both sides.

The schedule is light as hell the rest of the month: William & Mary, ECU and ODU. The ODU game on the road had potential to be sneaky tough, but the Monarchs just got skull fucked by Liberty of all people, so nothing to see there. At Duke COULD be interesting, especially with Notre Dame coming up the week after.

There will be more arrests in the stands than points when FSU and Miami play 10/6.
Good heavens those two offenses are putrid.
