    Nicholls might, though.

Nicholls State almost beat Georgia and ended Kirby Smart's head coaching career two games into it.

I stopped betting on college football after I bet a friend in high school that a John Cooper-coached Ohio State team would beat Michigan that whoever lost had to eat whatever combination of foods the other one put into a styrofoam cup.

When that last noodle covered in a combination of canola oil, corn starch, milk, soy sauce, ketchup, blue cheese, peanut butter and potted meat went down, I was relieved of all urges to ever bet on the sport again.

    If it’s 4 to 1 or 5 to 1, might be worth a $10.

Take away the peanut butter and it's not all that bad.

Adding just one conference game would make a difference. I think it would guarantee that every four-year player would see every stadium in the league. Only one of every seven years now.

I wouldn’t bet two nickels on KU.

I bet it was twice that bad coming back up. Or out.

Not such a longshot. Nicholls was an FCS playoff team last year and only lost by 10 at Texas A&M. Kansas has lost at home to FCS schools in recent years. It's in play.
