But, yeah, it's the Midwest voters who are biased ...

The point of my Midwestern line was ... well, apparently lost on you.

Hating Notre Dame is not the same as being a homer. And being a homer is not the same as lacking common sense.

Two SEC voters - neither of which covers LSU - kept LSU ahead of Notre Dame even after Notre Dame beat Oklahoma.

Meanwhile, the guy from the South Bend Tribune - the fucking South Bend Tribune! - fairly drops Notre Dame after the shit sandwich against Pitt.

What do the Midwestern voters have to do with this conversation? They were brought up facetiously.

Kansas State's resume is pretty hard to deny, though I do think Oregon and Notre Dame are lacking in the credentials department. (That said, I also think Oregon is the second-best team in the country and has the opportunity to leap both by season's end because of its backloaded schedule.)

I agree with him and it took guts, but man that guy must be having a horrible Monday.

Here's another take from the Spokesman-Review; apparently Wilson was suspended for missing a workout:

Either way, not good to lose the best player on your team with UCLA coming to town this weekend.

No doubt, bet he was dreading that alarm clock this morning.

But at least he retains his professional credibility. Those two SEC voters shouldn't have a vote. If you demonstrate incapacity to use your vote objectively, then you don't deserve one.

I know it's not likely given the current evidence, but if Notre Dame finishes unbeaten and beats USC by three touchdowns, do they get to jump an unbeaten Oregon? I don't see ND getting the support necessary to make it happen.

I'm a West Coast guy, but Oregon on the outside looking in would be fantastic. Anything that gets that fanbase in a tizzy, especially the 80 or so percent outside Eugene (who didn't even care about football until Oregon had a number less than 2 next to its name 2 years ago), makes me absolutely ecstatic. The bandwagoner thing also applies to Boise State for me...I'll take the "drunk, inebriated" fanbase in Moscow any day. :D

Maybe it looks favorable compared to Alabama, Notre Dame and Nike U., but "cuddly" isn't the first word that comes to mind when I think of Kansas State.

I do have to agree that Oregon fans score very high on the dickbag factor out on the Internets. And they do seem to believe college football was invented in 1994.
