Quick question, and this isn’t snark: What’s the difference between Michigan sending scouts to other teams’ games and cracking their code for signaling plays vs. accomplishing the same thing via watching film of the team?

You know the big programs like Michigan have a film room full of coaches and grad assistants spending untold hours doing the latter every week.

Where are they getting the video?. TV broadcasts don't show the sidelines every play. Do college teams get all-22 video and would that show signals?

I guess I’m not sure how sophisticated the game footage is (notice I still used the term “film”) or the mechanics of how schools exchange it.

But if there were wide angle shots that show the whole field, the play signaling would be there.

Way way back in the day, like the Roaring Twenties, coaching from the sidelines was illegal. And even in my youth, sometime later, quarterbacks and defenses called their own plays.

I graduated from a rival school but if Drew Allar stuffs the ball up their asses I’m not gonna be upset. Big time 2020 election results energy with these people.

It'd sure be great if Harbaugh showed up on the sidelines with a fake mustache and glasses a la Bobby Valentine.

Four games have kicked off before the end of College Gameday, which has grown as bloated and underpowered as a 1970 Mustang.

It's like those of us who long for the days when SportsCenter just gave scores and highlights. That horse left the barn long ago.

Only reason I was even on it was waiting for the Bama kickoff.

I hate all football pregames. They spend longer talking about the games than the players spend in the games. And it’s all the same drivel.

They just need maybe an hour. It’s not like these games are talked about ad nauseam during the week.
