I'm sure their 17 fans are devastated.

You might as well let Houston play for it all if they go undefeated and the chaos continues.

There's seven teams in front of them and at least three of them could lose and be sitting with two losses. If you're undefeated and a top 5 team, shouldn't you get the chance?

Marc Curles remains the worst referee in college football.

The three-way tiebreaker is result against the next best team in the division, which is USC. ASU gets it for having beaten USC.

Another interesting thing I read late last night regarding UCLA.
The Bruins beat Colorado to go to 6-5, becoming bowl eligible, allegedly.
If the Bruins lose to USC next week they fall to 6-6. But they can still win the Pac-12 South depending on ASU and Utah results, and tiebreakers.
If they then lose the Pac-12 Championship game, they fall to 6-7 and are not bowl eligible.

Penn State should be right behind them.

    BCS Standings:

    1. LSU ............ 1.000
    2. Alabama ........ .949
    3. Arkansas ....... .899
    4. Okla. State .... .841
    5. Va. Tech ....... .784
    6. Stanford ....... .741
    7. Boise State ... .688
    8. Houston ....... .668
    9. Oklahoma .... .652
    10. Oregon ...... .646

That 0.50 gap between 2 and 3 makes it really difficult to envision Arkansas jumping Alabama, unless Auburn beats the Tide and the Hogs totally blow out LSU.

Those numbers are very close to suggesting only three teams remain in serious contention, really.

The only thing I'll say about that is if you reward Houston for that shittastic schedule, you're gonna see a whole lot more teams deciding they're not gonna play anybody even remotely threatening in their nonconference schedule.

    Houston has no chance. None.

Yup. If Bama and LSU win, it is over.

I'm just saying for this season. The same with Boise if they had been undefeated. There are potentially going to be so few 1 and 0 loss teams THIS SEASON. Under most circumstances, an undefeated Houston will still be like 14th and have no shot.
