They're in the conversation. The 1995 Huskers were better.

Yep. Best team of my lifetime. They beat everyone by at least two touchdowns, beat three 10-win teams (Colorado, Kansas and Kansas State) by an average of score of 45-16, and absolutely slaughtered Steve Spurrier's best Florida team in the Fiesta Bowl.

Corso puts a piece of duct tape over his mouth before making his headgear pick (Alabama). Nice.

UK could play until Valentine's Day and the offense wouldn't add to this 3-0 lead. Tennessee is going to Lucy the blue-clad Charlie Browns for the 26th year in a row.

I'm partial to 2001 Miami as the best team ever. The list of future NFL stars (not just players, but stars) off that team is unbelievable. Having said that, I do realize it's not fair to compare a future pro to, say, Turner Gill. Gill was GREAT at doing something there was no market for in the NFL but was (is) extremely effective in the college games. So despite the lack of an NFL resume, Gill was a GREAT college player.

LSU is on track to have one of the greatest, if not the greatest, college season because of its schedule. But I just don't know if they're as good as 2001 Miami. But they ultimately may be. LSU has a TON of future pros, many of whom are young. If we're sitting here in 2017 and Michael Ford, Rueben Randle, Eric Reid, Morris Claiborne, Bennie Logan and Sam Montgomery are all in the Pro Bowl (not a completely unrealistic scenario), then the comparisons will definitely be there between those two.

But if LSU doesn't win the national championship, the comparison will be to 2003 OU as a team that entered the "greatest ever" conversation, and then lost.
