As someone who’s followed them all year without really being a true fan, the Huskies went from unable to run the ball even against overmatched nonconference opponents to clinching the Pac-12 championship with their ground game.

DeBoer and his coaches deserve a lot of credit for sticking with it and improving that aspect of the team.

Penix was obviously sick that day. He won the game, no need to hide and not congratulate the other team. A trainer escorted him off the field with a warmup jacket over his head.

Nix, I get your devastated, but get out there. That's a bad look.

Washington beat them twice. No excuses.

We shall see, but beating a two-defending champion that hasn’t lost in nearly three seasons will make a big, and recent, impression. A close loss coupled with a Texas loss would do the same, I bet. It just means more.

"Alabama's ability to miraculously defeat a team that was just curb-stomped at home by the C-USA runners-up made all the difference."

Penix gets the MVP and not the guy who carried the ball 28 times for 152 yards and two touchdowns, and threw as many touchdown passes as his quarterback?

Good, must have been after the cameras left. He seems like a good dude.

Kliavkoff handed off the trophy, didn't say a word, and got the hell out of there. Don't blame him.

Only thing that's pretty certain is Washington is in. Three spots remain. It will all play out on the field.

Just to be clear, are you saying if Michigan wins and Alabama wins, it should be Michigan, Washington, Alabama and Georgia and screw an unbeaten FSU, should it win.

And screw the Big 12 champion that beat Alabama ... in Tuscaloosa ... by 10 points? Alabama is not getting in unless Texas and Florida State both lose.
