And they lost anyhow. All those folks griping about SoS are going to have a field day. Love it. gonna be fun to watch what the committee does with that flaming bag of poo.

There are two full sections reserved for the SMU band and they fill up maybe a quarter of the seats. A reminder of what a different world private schools are.

Pretty sure one of the linemen from Clemson were past the umpire on their first td.
Not America’s Crappiest Conference for nothing.

So if Dabo wins this by 30, does the committee knock SMU out to ensure the SEC gets its God-given fourth spot in the field?

The thing about the ACC is there has been precious little to judge the better squads by. Tonight is only the second game all year between two of the top four finishers in the league. The first came last week when Syracuse beat Miami.

Similar deal in the Big 12.

The ACC title game pits a school suing the league in hopes of killing it against a reprobate institution that bought its way in with the help of a group of hedge fund bros.

That reminds me. If SMU makes the playoffs does it at least get a cut of that money. Or does it all go to Greensboro?

Had forgotten that deal with Notre Dame.
Why not a 16-team playoff and at least byes are moot? There will still be the controversy about whether 5 or 6 SEC or Big 18 teams get in of course.
I've always been in favor of the the campus site home games. In fact, I wish the Super Bowl would do this alternating AFC and NFC each year. That will never happen as the Super Bowl hasn't been for the average NFL fan in several decades.
