Michigan-Hawaii and Indiana-Idaho are in rain delays, leaving BTN to run continuous footage of Paul Chryst and Kirk Ferentz explaining why their teams suck

Making a stupid idea of a night game look even stupider
I’m 20 miles east of Ann Arbor and it’s not raining here

    An Iowa 7 = SJ 6 = a 4 on the coasts or Colorado.

Can't remember the name of the play-by-play guy with Herbstreit at USC-Stanford. Sounds like he just had dental work, or his tongue is swollen, or he downed bottle of Jack right before the game.

I'm not sure what the NCAA record is for biggest point differential in back-to-back games, but Southern might threaten it. After Southern won its opener 86-0 against an NAIA team, LSU is going full Georgia Tech-Cumberland on them and leading 44-0 a minute into the second quarter.
Southern already has three turnovers, including a pick-six, and the only reason the score isn't worse is because the punt that LSU blocked went out of the end zone for a safety instead of being recovered for a touchdown. LSU set a school record for points in a quarter with 37 in the first.

Every year college officiating seems worse and worse. Just a joke.

I can't decide if there are too many rules in football or if the officials are calling too much. But it does seem like there's a flag about every third or fourth play.
