What do students in Lawrence do if they win a football game? Asking for a friend.

Sit in Allen Fieldhouse and await the first practice of men's basketball season.

Are you talking about the helmet-to-helmet hit?

For a sport that I am routinely assured is decided before the season begins, it sure seems like a lot of shit goes sideways on any given Saturday.

Is there anything that drives a coach more insane than a late hit on the QB? It never goes uncalled. You're not going to get away with it. Let the guy go.

Well, that depends what level you want to look at.

The championship rematch between Alabama and Georgia remains on target. The 'Horns were just a turtle run over on the road to that rematch.

But among the other 130 or so FBS teams, there's some interesting pushing and shoving happening at the kids' table. If you had told me two weeks ago that Washington State would have the Pac-12's most impressive win so far this year, I wouldn't have believed it.

QB was out of the pocket, scrambling to find a receiver, and he was taken down by the legs. Given the angle the defender had to take, I don't know what else he could have done.

Down goes WVU. Neil Brown might somehow get another year but I don’t see him being the one to turn it around.

Among the rarest of birds: a 13-point overtime game.

1996 USC-Arizona State smiles. ASU was a -9 favorite. So much anger at the Caesars sports book that day for a 21-year-old future media hack to witness.
