    You could say the same thing in Seattle with Kalen DeBoer. Not a big name, he’s bringing stability after the clown show that was Jimmy Lake.

    That was the infamous coaching search that lasted like 45 days and ended with the hiring of Bill Callahan because no one wanted to work for Steve Pederson. Nutt turned them down. Wannstedt, who was Dolphins head coach at the time, turned them down. There were a couple of others I can’t recall.

    That was quite the deal. They hired Bill Callahan, which meant they were admitting they needed to renovate/modernize their offense. That's a process that generally takes more than a year or two. But even as they announced his hiring, they decreed that they expected to win championships immediately. Husker Hubris in action.
