Too early to say. I don't see him as a first-round pick right now, and non-super-elite QBs usually stay for their full college careers.

Oddly enough, Alabama hasn't put a legit QB into the NFL since Richard Todd in the mid 1970s.

SUNY Stony Brook - just as tough to beat as USC.

If I was one of John L. Smith's creditors, I wouldn't be feeling so good about the bankruptcy process right about now. Future earnings are iffy, and by future, I mean November.

McCarron is the best Crimson Tide quarterback of my lifetime. I see him being a viable NFL starter, at the least. (And I've been saying that since early last season.)

Versatile's Alabama NFL prospects power rankings:

    1. Trey Depriest: He's going to be a monster. He's already a monster.
    2. Chance Warmack: He's been Alabama's best player this season.
    3. Cyrus Kouandjio: His knee could be an issue and he's still rough around the edges, but he has ridiculous upside.
    4. T.J. Yeldon: He's not Trent Richardson, but he may be more dynamic.
    5. Dee Milliner: He has better ball skills than Dre Kirkpatrick.
    6. Deion Belue: He has the play-maker instincts you can't teach in a defensive back.
    7. AJ McCarron: He has all the throws and has improved his reads.
    8. D.J. Fluker: He still makes mistakes, but his talent and potential are obvious.
    9. Barrett Jones: The injuries are the only reasonable knock on him. But they happened. He may go down as one of the best offensive linemen in college football history.
    10. Jesse Williams: He's a workhorse inside, but he's not a real play-maker.
    11. C.J. Mosley: He has all the instincts and athleticism required to be a stud middle linebacker, but he's a little small.
    12. Vinnie Sunseri: He's somewhere between Roy Williams and John Lynch.
    13. Adrian Hubbard: He should become a star next season.
    14. Nico Johnson: He could fit at inside linebacker on most NFL teams running a 3-4.
    15. Michael Williams: His size and hands make him a viable NFL target.

FWIW, Todd McShay has Warmack as the No. 2 overall player on the board for 2013 after Matt Barkley. Kiper has him in the Top 10.

Challenging this clear-cut Knile Davis fumble (ruled down by contact) is why I love Nick Saban. He knows he's right and doesn't care what you think of him as he mercilessly kills the opposition.

    Die.

Watching this is just painfull, and yet I knew it would happen. Dr. J, however, did not and is warming up the oven to stick his head in.

Guys, can we focus on Alabama?

Jay Barker might have been the best Alabama quarterback of the last 20 years. Lost something like 3 games as a starter his entire career.

Or when he mercilessly slaughters the media, Versatile. Saban destroys all in his path.
