    1. Big really crapped the sack today. Could have been worse because Northern Iowa didn't punt the entire first half and dominated Iowa physically until Hawks figured something out.
    2. But the worst conference showing was (as usual) the ACC. Here's their day -- lost to three mediocre to bad Big East teams (including the Chokies, who managed to lose by 18 to a team that lost to Youngstown State), lost to NW. Miami and Clemson let Bethune-Cookman and Furman hang around for a half. Thank God the league was saved by Duke's monumental 54-17 victory over North Carolina Central. Two teams who were supposed to have an outside chance at contending for division titles, Wake and Virginia, gave up 50+ in-conference, albeit to good teams.

The Big Ten has four wins against BCS-level teams, and three of them are by Northwestern.

After three weeks of (mostly cupcake) nonconference games, the Big 10 has three unbeaten teams: Ohio St. (ineligible for postseason), Minnesota and Northwestern.

    When's wrestling season start?

Minnesota should be in the Top 25 this week.

Funniest thing I read on Twitter today:

"I'm sending a Harley and a 6-foot blonde to John L's house tomorrow!"
