    Way to go coaches.

Keep USC ranked above Florida and Notre Dame despite those two actually having zero losses and beaten ranked opponents on the road.

Did they rank Minnesota in their Top-25? ::)

How about if I say to you that I have no idea what you're talking about, but I'll let you buy me a drink anyway. :)

I must ask, though. How can I win my bet if they win by six? They were 7 point favorites. They needed to win by more than 7, right?

    They're Sun Belt-bound I believe.

Do you think Notre Dame is better than USC? Do you think Florida is?

    I don't.

I agree. USC is still better than those two teams, even after the Stanford loss.

I watched the end of that and thought the officiating crew from the 1972 Olympic gold medal basketball game had come out of retirement, converted to Mormonism and started working college football games. Totally bizarre ending.

Not sure that rankings in September mean much. I'd be fine if they waited until mid-October like the BCS does.

Just too hard to tell which teams are good after 2-3 games, much less in the preseason.

I don't think the on-field officials did anything wrong other than not catching the fact the clock operator was trying to fuck BYU - admittedly a pretty big screw up. They were absolutely right in flagging Utah for the fans storming the field.

Exactly. The offricials got it 100 percent right. Utard clock operator tried to pull a fast one, and got caught, correctable error was corrected. Utard fans rushed the field while the ball was live, penalty was called, correctly again, and BYU was (correctly) given the untimed down because a game can't end on an accepted defensive penalty.

That's a perfect example of the refs keeping their heads in an incredibly stressful asnd chaotic situation, and doing everything right.
