    So what’s to prevent Alabama in this case from intentionally jumping — after draining 24 seconds from the game clock — over and over again until time runs out? In this case, the penalty occurred with 3:06 left. Jump 8 times and the game is over. If you never snap, you can’t fumble. Field position is irrelevant.

    Is there a mechanism in place to prevent a team from clock-killing fuckery by committing a bunch of pre-snap penalties and resetting the play clock every time?
