And yet its best team couldn't run roughshod through it. It went 5-2 in conference and was a bounce or two from 3-4. You would think WVU would be able to blow through a league so weak, yet they beat Cincinnati, Pitt and USF by a combined 7 points last year. The Big East has been a clown show since Petrino and RichRod bolted for better jobs, Its why Pitt, Syracuse and WVU got the fuck out, and TCU never arrived to begin with.

Can't wait for ND-OU next week. I think ND's secondary isn't very good, but it's been disguised because their front 7 is amaze-balls. My guess is OU is able to expose ND's secondary next week. But time will tell. Damn it'll be a good game.

Have you ever seen Landry Jones under pressure? He has one of the slowest releases I've ever witnessed. Makes Tim Tebow look like Kurt Warner.

No, Blake Bell will not start! All he is at this point is Te-Bell

He should start Sooner, rather than later.

I'm not even sure that qualifies as a pun.

But can Tommy Rees complete more than 50 percent of his passes? The domers struggled against the Stormin' Mormons.

BYU has a pretty solid defense.

Depends on the week. The Beavs rolled up 42 points with their backup on the Y last week. ND's offense must improve if they want to run the table. OU will be tough and SC is starting to heat up.

Louisiana Tech's toteboard offense finished with 70 points and 839 yards — and didn't score in the fourth quarter.
Can they move south to Baton Rouge and wear purple and gold for a few weeks?

Idaho plays football like a blindfolded zombie with a staph infection.

Or was that Iowa I was thinking of, tonight against Penn State?

Tough to keep those I-states straight.

All true, but it doesn't discount the fact that BYU can play great defense when it wants to. I don't think Notre Dame is an Alabama/Oregon-level team. I'm also not going to count this week's performance against the Irish.

    EDIT: Added "against."
