Some SEC school with an opening could do very well by hiring him. No one could blame him for leaving that shitty fan base and looming tidal wave of sanctions he never saw coming and didn't create.

Very, very tough job at Idaho. Remote location, few in-state recruits, limited resources, small stadium, no league next season, no truck-driving school like Boise State to hide unqualified recruits in.

It should return to the Big Sky Conference, where it fits prefectly, and simply learn to live with the fact that while it may never be Boise State football-wise, it has a far nicer campus and offers a much better education as the state's flagship liberal arts and land-grant university.

BCS ranked opponents faced so far:

    Alabama 1 (Michigan)
    Florida 2 (LSU, South Carolina)
Kansas State 2 (Oklahoma, West Virginia)
    Oregon 0
    Notre Dame 2 (Michigan, Stanford)

    BCS ranked opponents remaining:

    Alabama 2 (LSU, Mississippi State)
    Florida 2 (Georgia, Florida State)
Kansas State 2 (Texas Tech, Texas)
Oregon 3 (USC, Oregon State, Stanford)
    Notre Dame 2 (Oklahoma, USC)

    Non-BCS Conference Opponents on Schedule:

Alabama 3- Western Kentucky, FAU, Western Carolina
Florida 3- Bowling Green, La.-Lafayette, Jacksonville St.
Kansas State 2- Missouri State, North Texas
Oregon 3- Arkansas State, Fresno State, Tennessee Tech
    Notre Dame 2- Navy, BYU

Seems to me a case can be made for Notre Dame if it wins out.

I didn't list them but I'd say the same about Oregon State as well. They own non-conference wins over current BCS-ranked schools (BYU & Wisconsin)

They own a non-conference win over one BCS-ranked team (Wisconsin) and would have beaten Oregon, Stanford and probably USC in the Pac 12 championship game.

Their third non-conference game is Nicholls State, but the game would not be played if OSU reaches the Pac 12 championship game or Nicholls makes the FCS playoffs. Game was supposed to be played Labor Day weekend but was postponed to Dec 2 due to the hurricane.

It's not winning out. And it's already played BYU. Irish are at Oklahoma, vs. Pittsburgh, at Boston College, vs. Wake, at USC.

He didn't say they would. But if they do they'd be the only school on that list that played 12 FBS opponents and one of two to play 10 BCS conference teams.

I know what he said. I was basically saying they're not winning out, so it's a moot point.

What would stop CBS from doing that?

They're going to be in a BCS game though.

Miami is nice in early January for meaningless football games.

Dolphins fans say the same thing about December.
