You've got to replace them with somebody, though. And looking at the Others Receiving Votes category, it's pretty much a wasteland.

I'll argue that in a normal year, South Carolina and Auburn would already be out and Tennessee would still be in.

Terry Grant at Alabama has been pretty good this year. Sorry I'm just getting to this, I had friends over and plenty of beer to drink and Popeye's to eat for the UGA-UF game.

Also, I'm a UGA alum, but I'm also reasonable and realistic. There's not way in hell this team is the 10th best team in the country.

Anybody listened to any of the UGA road games without Munson? How is it? How weird?

i think georgia being ranked 10 tells more about all the other teams in the country than it does the dogs. don't think they're very good, but there's not a lot of teams that are

As I said about South Carolina, when it climbed to No. 6.

"If that's the sixth best team in the nation, I weep for college football."

The weird thing about this year is that you've got all kinds of overrated teams ... because there's pretty much four or five really good teams and then about forty of fifty interchangable ones.

The first one was kind of weird, but Scott Howard does a really good job with play-by-play. By halftime, you are pretty much used to it.

And I'm with you, I'm no delusional Georgia grad. This is not a top 10 team, but Saturday was a top 10 performance. Like the Good Doctor said, Georgia is hit-or-miss at this point.

My SE and I were talking yesterday, trying to figure out who is the best team in the nation. We figured there were five or six candidates (Ohio State, LSU, Oregon, BC, etc.) but neither of use could nail down one.

Honestly, the only time I really noticed his absence yesterday was when I knew Georgia was going to win, and I knew how much he would have enjoyed it. Much as I hate to say it, the broadcasts are better with Howard and Zeier, at least as far as relaying information. Zeier was rough in the first game, because he felt like he had to say something every play, and he was shouting. He's toned both of those down.

And Howard is developing into every bit the homer Larry was. He shrieks a lot. :)

I loved Howard's call in the Alabama game: "One and done, baby!"

There are 27 teams right now with two losses or fewer. 21 are ranked.

Of the ones that aren't, three of them are BYU, New Mexico and Troy. Another is Virginia, which just lost to N.C. State. The other two are Purdue and Wisconsin.

I'll give you that Purdue and Wisconsin may deserve to be ranked. Virginia was until it lost. It would still be if its other loss wasn't to Wyoming. Wisconsin is No. 26 and is a Clemson choke job away from being ranked again.

If you want to argue that BYU, New Mexico or Troy deserve to be ranked over Florida or Tennessee, you're welcome to. I'll tell you that as a Georgia fanboy looser, Troy scares the shit out of me.

Pay attention to the ASU/Oregon winner next weekend.

That winner could sneak eventually into the BCS title game.
