Did Ryan win the Heisman tonight?

Lane Stadium isn't this quiet during the week.

Quite a few special teams boners from the special teams whiz, Frank Beamer.

Like I said earlier, he might've lost it and won it again in the same game. I think he's the leader in the clubhouse.

How do you celebrate saving an undefeated season and protecting your No. 2 ranking:

Chest bump the coach to the ground and then proceed to McNabb on the sideline.

I have no idea whether the Ryan kid is good or not (certainly not Heisman-good, Hockeybeat; a Heisman-worthy QB wouldn't suck that bad for 57 minutes). He appears to be pretty good.

But I'd love to know what percentage of late-game quarterback heroics are attributable to late-game defensive coordinator stupidity. I'm guessing pretty high.

Interesting final four games for BC:
Home next Saturday against Florida State. November 10, they're at Maryland and at Clemson seven days later. Last game of the regular season is November 24 hosting U of Miami.

The prevent sucks, but VT had been doing well rushing three and dropping eight all night.

If Matt Ryan is that slow, and those linemen couldn't chase him around and take him down - mind you, they were each probably pushing 300 pounds - that's a terrible flaw in that Virginia Tech defense.

Mind you, that was the first I've seen of VT this season. But in a time where the dual-threat quarterback is thriving, how can you have two ends who are blocked so well by the O-line and two tackles who take 15 seconds to run five yards? That's shocking to me.
