yeah, i'm sure the RG lost several dollars the past 12 months. fuck-oh-rover, pure and utter bullshit. maybe one of the owners can take a pass on vacationing in france this year.

 

I've heard the pay for this gig isn't great, probably less than $60K, which strikes me as low for almost any columnist gig...

This paper probably wouldn't hire me for this gig if I offered to pay them my first year's salary.
Nevertheless, with this being a good paper and city, is the $50,000 or so worth it to live and work there? Can you live pretty well on that salary in Eugene?
Just curious more than anything because I really don't know a lot about the paper and city beyond reputation.
