I'm not sure Dwight qualifies as a columnist. Though he's better than Jerry Brewer.

 

Disappointing not to see Rich Hofmann (Philly DN) and Art Thiel (Seattle PI) anywhere on here - esp. since I know they got love on earlier versions of this topic.

 

Tom Sorensen and Scott Fowler from The Charlotte Observer, Bob Spear from The State, Ed Hardin from Greensboro, Dick Heller from The Washington Times, David Steele from The Baltimore Sun, Lenox Rawlings from the Winston-Salem Journal, Ken Burger from The Charleston Post and Courier and Leonard Pitts from The Miami Herald to name a few.

 

Calkins comes up with subjects so good that you think they could only be made up. I look forward to reading his work everytime I open the paper. I'm also a huge fan of Gary Parrish from CBSsportline.
