Which is why you are still whining about it.

That's the best point you've made on this thread.

    Meanwhile, Back in Cleveland.......

    http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-big-league-stew/native-american-group-threatens-cleveland-indians-with--9-billion-lawsuit-190106469.html

Between editors who have vowed to take upon themselves to vow they won't use the team nicknames and this lawsuit (of which I am sure more will spring up...), it is P-C ridiculousness spinning out-of-control.

    Disgusting!

So "Indians", "Chiefs", "Warriors", "Braves" and various tribal names (Seminoles, Sioux, Illini, etc.) are considered OK, but "Redskins" not?

Learn to read. This has already been explained many times on this thread. Pay attention and even you might learn something for once.

The current party line is that Redskins is a slur and all the rest are OK but, once Redskins falls, we'll revisit it to see if we can get 11 percent of people to decide what the next term we rally against will be.
While we're at it, let's go ahead and rename all the NFL teams to avoid any chance someone might be offended. Here are my suggestions for the AFC East:

    * New England Patriots- might offend the British given the context of the American Revolution so let's call them the New England Happy to be American but still supportive of other landers.
    * New York Jets- might offend people who have a fear of flying or can't afford to travel so let's call them the New York Methods of Transportation.
    * Miami Dolphins- might offend people who are for the ethical treatment of animals, since many dolphins are held in captivity for entertainment purposes so let's call them he Miami Free to live their lives uninterrupted sea creatures.
    * Buffalo Bills- might offend people who are having a hard time making ends meet and/or those afraid of bison so let's change their name to the Buffalo All-Stars in honor of the team's origins. Actually, that might offend people who were picked last in Little League so let's stick with the Buffalo Everyone is a unique snowflake and brings something special to the tables.

Let's complete the AFC East ... somebody at PETA has to have a hard-on about the Indianapolis Colts.

It's obvious that OOP is one of these people who just looks for stuff to be offended about. Sort of leaves me wondering what his/her next pet cause might be.

Oh, it's not just oop. Butthurt is America's profession. And in its spare time, it's America's hobby.

Speaking of butthurt, Mark is showing his right here. Come on, Mark. You are usually so proud of being a racist. Why lash out this time?
