I've seen them four times, the last the "Get Hurt" tour when it was clear they needed a break. They played great that night, but the spirit of the show was off. No banter, just song after song. It rocked, but different. When they announced the "hiatus" a few months later, I was like, "Yeah, makes sense."

    Can't wait for tomorrow.

Of course, as PC knows, every time I have wanted to see The Gaslight Anthem they are playing some out of the way venue in Toronto on a Sunday night or something. I am still 0-fer with those guys.

Holy, Hell, what a show. More later.

Thank god for rock and roll and thank god for live shows again.

This is my favorite band. Full stop. And they delivered.

    Club shows are the best.

Haven't been to a show myself since the fall (hoping to catch Dead & Co. and GNR at separate Fenway shows this summer. Crap venue for concerts but a fun vibe there and easy for me to get home quickly afterward). But my wife, sister, daughter and niece are at Gillette for Taylor Swift tonight. My wife sent me photos of the merch line. Holy hell. The Swifties -- a cult if I ever saw one, especially based on my 15-year-old daughter - spent months planing their "Era" outfit and now they're standing out in the sun for God knows how long, all dressed up, waiting to buy a hoodie. But a friend of mine who took his daughters last nigh said it was seriously the best concert he's ever seen. She played 3 and a half hours in the rain.

My regret is not telling my wife ahead of time to buy 6 tickets and sell 2 of them so my brother in law and I could use the proceeds to finance a trip to see Iron Maiden in Belgium this summer, visit the Great War sites and drink a lot of beer.

Taylor Swift concerts are proof Americans aren’t hurting all that bad financially.

I was fortunate enough to see her in the Bay Area (in a luxury suite because my son told my client he was a fan) and the Swifties were in full effect that night and actually made a wonderful, energetic environment.

Seeing Duran Duran this weekend, hoping the "dancers" for Hungry Like a Wolf are not from the original video.....

My daughter said the show was the best night of her life and it's not close. And she's had a pretty good life so far.

If anybody is near northwest Arkansas, I’ve got two extra tickets for Dave Matthews Band tomorrow night.

50 miles away from Gillette seeing Hammerfall and Helloween. General admission show, lots of black shirts, denim vests, and optional hygiene.

Anyone who gave themselves tendonitis trying to master DragonForce on Guitar Hero can thank Helloween, the godfathers of proper power metal.
