Years and years ago, when Pink Floyd “flirted” with the idea of having one last go around the globe while Rick Wright was still alive, I told my wife that no matter the cost, it was a must go. Miami/NYC/LA/Chicago…..no matter……I was going.
    She was fine with it.
When I was a board op in high school, my pd bragged about seeing them at old Mile High in Denver. He’s been to many many concerts and said that was at the top.
I’d also love to go see Dave Matthews and Mumford and Sons.

Just saw Frank Turner is coming here on a Tuesday in May, with Dave Hause as one of the supports. Definitely hitting that one up.

Buy tickets now. That tour is selling out fast. He is coming to Cleveland; tickets went on sale Friday (snagged mine) and are already sold out. 500-capacity venue.

Good looking out. Just grabbed one. Never been to Canal Club, but I’ve heard it’s pretty small.

Not a huge name, but Mrs. Flip and I saw Ray Wiley Hubbard in Clifton, Texas, tonight, in a sold-out venue of about 350. He put on a really fun show. He's a great storyteller. And I learned that he wrote the song Up Against the Wall, Redneck Mother, which was made famous by Jerry Jeff Walker.

The Hold Steady closed the Weekender at the legendary 100 Club on Oxford Street in London and played Separation Sunday from front to back to open things. Bloody hell. I’m kind of speechless about how this band continues to surprise me. Incredible set, just a brilliant weekend. Also lost the pub quiz in a tiebreaker, only a slight bummer. Was on drummer Bobby Drake’s team. What a great time.
