    Thanks.
Now let me rephrase what I wrote as the memory starts to kick in.
Saw Air Supply late summer 1983.
Discovered the greatness of Bruce June 1984 at the age of 15. Unfortunately I discovered it a week or two after the 10 Meadowlands Arena shows sold out and being how in NJ at the time you couldn't get a driver's license until you were 17, I had no way to go and even try to scalp tickets. I did go to a Giants Stadium show in '85 for my first Bruce show.

screw you ... BIG AND RICH AND THE MUSIK MAFIA put on one of the greatest live shows you will ever see.

And Darius Rucker is perhaps the most underrated singer songwriter of this decade!!!

as for seeing Air Supply (mentioned above) that is a show I have always wanted to see. Growing up I remember watching their special concert on I think it was HBO?
I still have the original greatest hits tape my mom bought me back in the 80s when I bitched that I wanted to go see them live. Yes, I am an official member of the AirHeads online. So go F#$@ yourselves if you wanna be haters!

Saw the Pixies last year at the Hammerstein Ballroom. That was an unreal experience.

Anybody here in Omaha? Heads up if you're a Pink Floyd fan:

As is well known among Pink Floyd fans, David Gilmour has committed to showing up as a surprise guest at one (and only one) of the shows on Roger Waters' "The Wall" tour.

    Edit: Water's rep says no:

Sorry, Midwest Floyd fans: Roger Waters' rep just told us that a report of Waters dining in Minnesota with David Gilmour is false.

Best: Bruce Springsteen in St. Louis in 2009. My first and most likely last Springsteen concert but it left a last impression on me. I went with a friend who really didn't care much for Springsteen but I witnessed a transformation right before my eyes during the almost 4 hour show. Also the two lesbians making out during one song was an added bonus.

Worst: Hate to say it but Eric Clapton in Memphis in November of this past year. I was all geeked up to finally be seeing Eric live, but I was disappointed. The crowd sat for most of the show, minus a few big songs. Roger Daltrey opened for him and by my thought was actually better. I'm still a Clapton fan, but it just seemed like he was out there to get through the show and move on.

Next: Don't have good bands coming within a days drive for the next few months so who the heck knows.

Last: The Black Crowes at Mud Island in Memphis. Mud Island in an outdoor amphitheater so that was a unique experience. They were good, but it was near the end of like a two year tour so you could tell the energy level just wasn't there.

    Last: Jay-Z/Eminem at Yankee Stadium.
Next: Ian Hunter and Bob Dylan, both in November.

Yes, I'm all over the map.

Maybe Gilmour will show up at the Dec. 11 Tacoma Dome show in Washington!

Actually, still weighing whether to go or not. Anyone who's seen The Wall tour, what did you think?

I know a guy who went to the Montreal show last week, said it was phenomenal.

Went to high school with a guy who saw the original Wall tour in - I think - Long Island.

Last: LCD Soundsystem at the Tabernacle in Atlanta earlier this month.

Pretty much a perfect show. Sleigh Bells opened, and I don't buy their Yeah Yeah Yeahs for Dummies schtick at all...but it was good for beering up and cracking wise before LCD came on. Started the show with a drawn-out version of "Dance Yrself Clean," with individual band members quietly walking on the stage every few moments. Then James Murphy does his usual drunken shuffle on the stage right before just killing it. Classic LCD.

Looking at options for this summer. Hippiefest and Little Feat so far.

    This fall, Joe Bonamassa.
