Wow, that would be cool. Had no idea the King of the Surf Guitar was still playing.

Have a conflict I think I can resolve so I can see the show. Really want to see him.

I have no memory of a Stones concert in 1994. None. All I know is that I was there.

First post-baby concert will be the Warren Haynes Band next weekend. I've seen Gov't Mule plenty of times, but I'm not sure what to expect out of a WHB setlist. I'm guessing he'll play a few Mule standards and some covers. Just listened to most of the tracks off his new album. Typical great guitar, although it had a real gospel feel. Not too familiar with his band. Maybe that's their thing. Good stuff regardless. Warren couldn't play bad music if he tried.

Best: Godsmack, in a small venue, without all the extras. Just 5,000 people and the band, up close. Rocked the fucking roof off.
And, bpoindexter mentioned Mike Portnoy's replacement in Dream Theater, well Portnoy's new band, Adrenaline Mob, opened for Godsmack and they were just as good. I was so impressed I went out and bought their album right after the show.

Worst (tie): Goo Goo Dolls and Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. RJA played between Adrenaline Mob and Godsmack and had horrible sound issues all night. They cut their set list after about four songs and apologized.

Last: Godsmack, Adrenaline Mob and Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.

Next: Would love to see Godsmack again. If not them, I NEED to get to a Sully Erna show sometime soon. That dude is just so damn talented.

Northeastern tour starting in Boise? Well, he's not the King of Geography.
Funny how the Colorado Avalanche have shit the bed since they stopped using "Scalped." Greatest skate-out song ever.

Best: Cornerstone Festival, 2000, Bushnell, Ill. Just a great 4 days of music from 10am-2am each day. P.O.D. live was a highlight along with a few metal bands probably many of you have never heard of.

Worst: Dylan this summer. He messed with all his songs and made them unrecognizable...which I guess is him being an artist and having fun with all the songs he has overplayed, but for a first time live, it bugged me.

Last: Anberlin/Switchfoot last night. Switchfoot, for being such a poppy band, rocks live. Anberlin, which rocks on cd and sounds real good came off as over loud and hard to hear. They hit their stride mid-show, but the sound bugged me.

Next: Unknown at this point...but probably something soon.

Gonna catch him at the Saenger in Mobile about that same time. Have seen REK 6-8 times, but never in Texas, which is on my list to do before too much longer.

Jay-Z and Kanye, Dec. 16th at the Tacoma Dome.

Yeah, yeah, Kanye sucks, blah, blah. I like him, and I am excited for the show.

X is playing at a bar in town, playing the "Los Angeles" album front-to-back and screening the movie "The Unheard Music." On the downside there are like 4 opening acts, so I may take a pass.

Wilco is coming to ASU's Gammage Hall in January. Won't miss that, though I wish they picked another venue -- saw Ben Folds there a couple of years ago and the acoustics were brutal.

The Warren Haynes band last night was great. An awesome mix of blues, soul, gospel and funk. Warren has a great voice, but two of the band members were even better -- a younger woman who sang background an an occasional lead part and the keyboard player who looked like Flavor Flav but sang like Aron Neville.
