Best concert comes down to two - I saw the Who in 1989 at Giants Stadium and loved it. The "other" best concert was the Modern Jazz Quartet at a college near my New Jersey home in the 1970s. The Modern Jazz Quartet was completely perfect with their music, stage presence, and clothing.

The worst concert I ever saw was the Beach Boys at the Meadowlands Arena in the 1980s. I thought they just phoned it in to an audience which wanted to remember when they were younger.

The most recent concert we saw was Bon Jovi at Los Angeles Staples Center in October. I really enjoyed it, and gave me some pride because Bon Jovi and I are from New Jersey and it is great to see somebody over 50 with that much energy.

Saw Neil Young at Carnegie Hall last night.

He told a great story about walking off stage the first time he played there in 1970. Called it an "unplanned intermission." He also stopped to tell a bunch of idiots to stop trying to clap along to Ohio before restarting. Another highlight was his tribute to Phil Ochs.

    Set 1:

    From Hank to Hendrix
On the Way Home (Buffalo Springfield)
Only Love Can Break Your Heart
    Love in Mind
    Mellow My Mind
Are You Ready for the Country
    Someday
    Changes (Phil Ochs)
    Harvest
    Old Man

    Set 2:

    Goin' Back
    A Man Needs a Maid
Ohio (Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young)
    Southern Man
    Mr. Soul
    (Buffalo Springfield)
    Needle of Death (Bert Jansch)
The Needle and the Damage Done
    Harvest Moon
Flying on the Ground Is Wrong (Buffalo Springfield)
    After the Gold Rush
    Heart of Gold
    Encore:
    Comes a Time
    Long May You Run (Stills-Young)

Was this an all-acoustic, solo show or did he plug in at some point with a backing band?

Just Neil on stage with eight guitars, two pianos, his pump organ and a bunch of harmonicas.

Damn, that's a great setlist, cranberry.

I'll have to see if he's coming anywhere near me.

I've seen Neil Young three times (well, four if you count Farm Aid) and it's always been with Crazy Horse and/or some other backing band. I need to see one of his solo, acoustic shows.

Agreed -- seen him once during his feedback fixation. I'd love to see one of the acoustic shows.

I saw Neil with the Buffalo Springfield reunion. Neil was having a great time, which is usually sayin' somethin'.

I don't know if this has been mentioned on here anywhere but setlist.fm is incredible.

I spent a portion of the past two days tracking down shows I've been to. The database (albeit incomplete) even has the number of times an artist performed a song live and any covers that have been done.

Saw Children Of Uganda's Tour Of Light a few weeks ago. A really incredible group of kids. Highly recommended.

The only problem with Serlist.FM is I go through this battle in my mind over whether to look at the setlist ahead of time from the previous shows or not.
