How do we know that Tiger is the father? It could be me.

I think 36 weeks is considered full term (I'm not positive). 40 weeks is the general length a full-term pregnancy goes (not 9 months folks, closer to 10). Sometimes a pregnancy will last longer.

It all depends on the kid and when he/she is ready to come out, except for ones like my sister who don't want to come out and have to forcibly removed.

I'd like to see the figures on these early births. My wife went over on both kids.

My sister had one at 37 weeks, one at 42 and one at 38 (induced).

Yep, but after a full day of golf, etc.
    I ain't buying inducement.

I think Oakmont induced it ... that and all the golfers vomitting on themselves.

Every woman I've known who's been induced has had a really long labor. Unless she had a scheduled c-section, it would have taken until at least this afternoon for her to have that baby if they induced her today.

I think we should give Tiger a break on the inducing thing, if that's what they actually did (and we don't know that)
But if they did, they wouldn't be the first busy couple to make it a bit convenient. I've got a couple of pals that travel a lot on business and they both induced just to have the certainty

Just to reiterate, I wasn't judging him on it. I've got a niece and a nephew that were induced, so it's not exactly a big deal.

That made me laugh very hard.

There are other reasons to induce as well. If the baby is approaching 10 pounds or if the there are other complications, they'll induce before 40 weeks. It's shouldn't be viewed as a bad thing. As long as it's full-term (36 weeks), what's the issue?
