Tell them George Washington issued them too. Good enough for the Founding Fathers, good enough now, right?

Did you hear the one about the college football star who had a girlfriend who died, but not really?

Several of my friends have also pointed out how well Waco and Ruby Ridge worked out for the folks not on the U.S. side.

And yeah that's what I thought. Of Obama's 10 points, which of those seemed unreasonable? Honestly?
As a hunter, gun owner and family man I didn't think any of his requests was unreasonable or over-reaching.

This got me thinking about the possibility of a conspiracy in Bobby Kennedy's murder.

The only thing that really makes me wonder if Sirhan Sirhan really acted alone was his alleged motive. If I recall, he supposedly shot RFK because of his support for Israel. However, Bobby Kennedy was far from the only American politician who has and does support Israel, and as a motive to kill RFK that would probably be well down the list.

Another oddity to me was that his look didn't fit the profile of the fanatic. He didn't have the wild Charlie Manson eyes of a firebrand or the dead fish eyes of a Timothy McVeigh or Mohammad Atta. He looked like a schlub, with a slightly bewildered look in his eyes like he couldn't quite figure out what was going on.

Finally, there were a lot of establishment politicians in both parties who were scared to death of Bobby Kennedy in the White House. After winning the California primary, he was headed to Chicago with all of the momentum, and I believe he would have won the Democratic nomination and beaten the pants off Nixon. His death stopped all of that. It's not hard to imagine the same people who took out JFK going for round two 4 1/2 years later.

Oh, and as for Martin Luther King, I've lived around little redneck shits like James Earl Ray all of my life, and there is no way he was smart enough to pull that killing off by himself.

Hopefully you're in a death penalty state. That'll straighten his fuckin' ass out.

Conspiracy theorists seem to have a way of using long, technical videos to make their case. I never bother to watch them. I see no point in it. It's not as if I could watch it with an open mind and come around to their way of thinking so why bother.
I point out the flaws in theory and they always say "Obviously you didn't watch the video."
    Why the fuck should I?

I do watch the videos. Then I do the research and find out why they are wrong.

Then it's usually crickets, sort of like the whole recoil issue in this thread.

Even the videos that are 2 1/2 hours long?

    When I have time. It's a hobby.

You wouldn't believe how much time you can spend on tax protesters or truthers. It's freaking fascinating.

I look at it like I already know it's a piece of shit so why bother.

    I'm the same way.

I got sucked into it after OKC and read a lot of theories about Andreas Strassmeir. Then I discovered Art Bell's radio show and it was down the rabbit hole.

If the crew of "Diamonds are Forever" can fake a moon landing, so can NASA.
