Corriendo beisbol estring numero seis (because 46 pages on No. 5 was enough ...)

I really like Glavine, but since he pitches for the Mutts, I'd love to see no. 300 go in the books that way.

He is RUNNING OUT OF TIME to end up at 299 and to sign with the Braves for no. 300 (I know, I know: That ship sailed last winter, but a guy can dream, dammit).

OK, Bubbler and Gutter ... with the big weekend set coming at Wrigley, I say it's time for a sig bet. Who's down?

Wish he hadn't allowed a hit over six innings. Then the first Mets no-hitter wouldn't even be a no-hitter.

EDIT: Correct. Duh, I'm an idiot.

MLB's rules (changed in in 1991) say that an official no-hitter has to:
    a) finish as a no-hitter (which rules out the Harvey Haddix, Pedro Martinez gems)
    b) has to go at least nine innings (which rules out Andy Hawkins, and which would've ruled out this one from Glavine.)

Those fast Mets are even faster now with that Gomez kid. He seriously might be the fastest player in baseball. Reyes admits he can't be Gomez in a foot race.

If the Mets will be patient with him, he could be a 25-homer, 50-steal guy.

I'm down... and you know it's going to involve your guy, Prince Fielder.

Deal. I'll think of something. Winner of the series designs the loser's pic, pic sig and bottom sig for a short period of time. Let's say Monday through Sunday?

One way or the other, they'll find a way to piss it away. Quite likely by Randolph platooning him with Ricky Ledee, or some shit.

This probably wouldn't be the pic, but it makes me laugh.

Loney is 3 for 4 tonight, and in 13 games since coming back up he's 19 for 38 with 3 HR and 12 RBI.

NL West is going to have more dogs in the race till the end than at Hinsdale Dog Park.
