Mediocrity beat the Mets in the NLCS and won the World Series last October.

I'm much more evil than Gutter. My standing offer to Spnited is my standing offer to you ... as the loser you will have J.J. Hardy's Young & The Restless line in your sig, only it will say, "J.J. Hardy can warm up with me anytime."

Padres look like the best in the West.
"If the Dodgers could hit" is a very big if... they can't.
The rest of the West is mediocre or awful (Giants).
The Central has the decent Brewers and a collection of crap.
The East has the decent Mets and a collection of mediocrity...not quite as crappy as the Central.

Yankees still suck. Apparently the only way they can gain games on the Red Sox presently is if they don't play.

Sorry. Haven't done this in a while. Moral imperative, etc., etc.

Braves didn't offer him a contract last winter. He wanted to come back to win No. 300 with a tomahawk on his chest. Blame Schuerholz. [/moral obligation, etc., etc.]

Yeah, yeah. I admit, it ain't rational. Funny thing is, I'd have taken him back. (prodigal son, etc., etc.) The public explanations all had to do with Giles' salary, which, as it turns out, the Braves weren't going to pay anyway. They could sure use him now.

And in the side saddle, below a non-doctored picture of Prince Fielder ....

Howard put it into Ashburn Alley last year against the Marlins against Sergio Mitre.
