Corriendo beisbol estring numero seis (because 46 pages on No. 5 was enough ...)

It would be so nice for the Cubs to take 2 of 3 in this series. That would leave them 6.5 out with four games in Washington and three in Pittsburgh before the All-Star break.

But, with typical Cubbie luck, the Brewers are playing four in Pittsburgh and then three in Washington before the break.

Most importantly, though, the Cubs taking two of three would leave Gutter and Bubbler with humiliating Prince Fielder man boobs pics and sigs for a week.

Gallardo and Hill could be fun today. Anyone know which way the wind is blowing in Wrigley?

I’m not Bubbs, but I’ve seen Gallardo in person and his stuff in NASTY. Hopefully he’ll be another Padilla, but I fear he’ll be a devastating No. 1 or No. 2 for years.

No they didn't. It was suspended and will resume in a month. And Tim Tschida is a pathetic lout of an umpire.

Sorry, Angola. They did not win.
Game was suspended on the 8th with the Yanks having gone ahead, 8-6. Will be concluded on July 27 when the Yankees will have to go into the bullpen!

The 2 best minor-league pickups for roto were Loney 3 years ago, and Gallardo this year. I still haven't seen him pitch, so if any Brew Crewers could provide a comparison of Gallardo with other young pitchers in MLB, that would be great.

Hammer, I may have posted that before you made a post, so that might serve as the source of confusion. I was just asking him — he being a Brewers fan and all.

Dammit! I just saw the score and thought it was final. Oh well, at least they didn't lose more ground.

  7. and Charlie Manuel starts the game by accusing El Duque of having some foreign stuff on his hat. Brilliant.

Gamesmanship. El Duque was pretty frosted about the check.

All this after Durbin inexplicably struck out the side to begin the game.

    And, oh yeah, HUGE series.

Carlos Delgado 2-run shot to dead center!

Look at the pitching matchups for the series. BEST case scenario for the Phils is a split. Pray that Hamels gets it done tonight.

Nice play in right, Floyd. Shit. I guess it's going to be THAT kind of day.
