Corriendo beisbol estring numero seis (because 46 pages on No. 5 was enough ...)

I could have sworn it was closer than that. ;)

Kendrick pitched pretty damn well today, but got a lot of double-play balls to bail himself out of trouble.

And you're into the Phils' bullpen now. This thing is FAR from over.

Maybe now the Mariners will make the first half ---- nay, 3/4 ---- of Sportscenter.

This is a total 13-year-old fanboy rant, but god DAMN the M's get ignored. Two weeks ago, when the Mariners were in SECOND, SC spent 90 seconds discussing Oakland's ability to catch the Angels. Then they segued into Mariners highlights with no setup.

Never mind the A's were in THIRD and the M's in SECOND.

Last night, in a discussion of the A.L. Wild Card race, the Mariners were not mentioned.

They are the hottest team in the league.

    Dear Buddy Bell:
For the love of all things holy, please instruct your team to TAKE A FUCKING PITCH!!!

Christ, they hack at fucking everything. And it just cost them a fucking chance to score runs. Christ. Take a pitch. Once every now and then. So the goddamn defense isn't on the field 50 minutes of every hour. Please.

Edit: Teahen just grounded out on the first pitch he saw, Gload grounded out on the second pitch he saw, and this came after a promising inning was killed on a 3-6-3 DP when German swung at the first thing he saw.

Maybe I just need to quit watching. The handful of times I've gotten to see them, they play like dogshit.

You better hope it happens tonight ... because the Mariners face the Royals next, and you know that series will get no play.

Only if KC can rise up and smack the Mariners around for a change. Except for that one game where they tagged weaver for six in the first, Seattle has freaking dominated.

Leaving the bases loaded in the seventh won't help the Royals any.

Actually going to a Mets-Phillies game is nothing but fun because you can see how much the fans hate each other.

No. No it won't. If something was going to happen, that was the place. The 8th was a joke, and the ninth will be too.

Royals game just ended on a worse call than the one that ended the seventh inning. If Gathright has all this fucking speed, he'd be wise to use it to not ground into game-ending double plays.

Back to New Orleans for Pelfrey as his trade probability goes up while his trade value goes down. One of Minaya's mistakes this season was giving up on Bannister for Pelfrey.

Folks in KC thank you for that. Especially when Bannister was acquired for Ambiorix Burgos, which roughly translates to "Wild Thing".

By the way, Bannister is 5-1 with a sub-3.00 ERA in his last six starts. :)
