    Ole, Cirrillo.

I have not seen Punto in awhile. Has he turned into Brooks Robinson?

Nice relief job by Rincon, Zeke.
And nice defense by Cirillo turning Jeter's DP grounder into a two-run single.
And now Castillo f's up a DP turn for the third time tonight.

5-1 Spankees because the Twinkies really do suck.

    Blow me, spnited. :D

In all seriousness, that's three botched DP's, and all of them have led to runs.

They don't deserve to win this one...

Does anyone know why ARod just got pulled?

He and Morneau collided at first on the last botched double play -- throw was up the line -- and Arod was favoring his hammy.

Interesting. Have they said how serious it is?

He stayed on to run, so i'm guess it's precautionary.

Assuming Lilly gets the win tonight, here are the stats for each Cubs' starter...

    Lilly 7-4 ... 3.84 ERA
    Marquis 6-4 ... 3.31 ERA
    Zambrano 9-6 ... 4.20 ERA
    Hill 5-5 ... 3.49 ERA
    Marshall 4-3 ... 3.50 ERA

Remind me again why these guys won't win the Central? Oh, that's right, there's a bullpen, too ... and also, they're the Cubs. With those numbers from the starters, they should be in first right now. If the bullpen continues to at least be decent, they should be in good shape. The only starter they have with an ERA over 4 is Zambrano, who oddly enough has been dominant ever since Barrett stopped catching him.

The Twins may not get to face the Yankees bullpen the way Roger is pitching.

So before lolsing 8 in a row, the Rockies swept the Yansk.
Now, having lost 8 in a row since then, they've scored 6 in the third off Glavine and are still batting!

Must be something about NY teams at Coors Field.
