I was surprised at how good Martinez's stats are, I thought he got off to a slow start. At any rate, Pudge shouldn't be on the team.

I understand all of that buck, but I guess my response to that would be: Then people should quit bitching about Bonds getting voted a starter. He's a Hall of Famer and I know a lot of people hate him, but he deserves to get to start in his town in what will probably be his last All-Star game. Maybe not the best example because of the hate for Bonds, but I still believe it to be valid.

I see that Salomon Torres is demanding a trade. That would really hurt Pittburgh's World Series chances.

On a more serious note, Jason Bay is hitting .138 in his past 25 games. Think he's developed a case of the Fuck-Its?

Yeah..they tricked him into signing for a hometown discount. Because all of baseball was lining up to sign his sorry self.

    Now that is hysterical.
Salomon Torres should be kising the ass of the fool who signs his paycheck every two weeks.

And that might be the Mets in a few weeks. The rest of the NL East can't wait.

While waiting on the Mets loss to the Rockies last night, I caught a bit of Softies-Yanks.

YES blowhard Michael Kay noted that the Twins broadcast team were wearing t-shirts championing Neshek's All-Star berth, and said, "Could you imagine how that would play in New York? Cheering for the team? We'd be ripped apart!"

Mikey, how do you explain John Sterling, then?

Well, Kay does just a tiny bit of cheerleading himself.

And Mets announcers were hyping the vote for Lo Duca campaign two weeks ago.

But not by Kay. I think my hockey loving friend was pointing out the hypocrisy of it all.

The point is, Kay acted like the Mets and Yankees announce teams don't cheerlead and either he's a liar or he doesn't see that the New York broadcasters are just willing to beat the drum(s) for the home teams.
