Well, I've got Pete Van Wieren and his buddy talking about stars they've seen the last few nights: Rob Reiner tonight, Alyssa Milano last night. Now they're talking about if each is a sock-shoe/sock-shoe guy or sock-sock/shoe-shoe guy. VanWieren said sock-sock. That's some serious SJ Anthing Goes material there.

    And I'm jealous, bucky.

Not easy being the only Dodger fan in northern New England.

Can't remember where I read this, but supposedly Butler is headed back to AAA once Sweeney is ready to play. They still aren't happy that he is such a butcher defensively no matter where they put him.

Way to pinch hit with Cole Hamels, Phillies. That's what happens when you use all of your players by the 11th.

Wow, Wilkerson is actually starting to get hot. He homered at Boston yesterday as well, so he has four homers in two games. He only needs to hit about 50 more to justify the Rangers trading Soriano for him.

If he played for Jim Tracy, he'd be moved to No. 8 in the lineup with this kind of HR productivity.

Strange game going on in L.A. Both starters knocked out early and now relievers throwing up zeros.

If he played for Dusty Baker, he'd throw 220 innings a year.

It's Cholly Manuel. Just pray that the hammy Ruiz dinged in the 10th makes it to the end of the game.

Side note from the Yanks game. Edwar Ramirez struck out the side in his major league debut. Has a nasty, nasty change-up, had struck out 47 in 26 innings at Triple-A. He made Cuddyer, Morneau and Ford look silly with it. If the Yanks get back in it, he might be a major factor. If not, he's definitely going to earn a spot from the get-go next season.

I could just imagine who he brings into catch. That would be something else.
