    OK, it's SPNITED,
    I'm self-benighted,
But at least now it's righted.

And I'm still tied for number one as the author of the least responded to thread on this board!

    :p

Well, at least I'm in ornery company. ;D

No wonder we're such a bunch of cranks; we're always in pain.

As an M's fanboy, my pain is the greatest! Still number one! [No matter how I try, I can't get into JDV territory. Can I show you pictures of my great-grandaughter?]

Rivera escapes the ninth by getting Mauer to ground out and striking out Cuddyer. Twins had second and third down by 2 with one out.
Good series for the Yankees, taking three out of four from the Twins. Now if they could just play well against the Angels for the first time in 6 years I would be happy.

Maybe a Pirates fanboy can help me here, but I think Jason Bay has to be the Major League leader in “Most number of RBIs on days when you don’t get a base hit.”

EDIT: Oops. Read the box wrong. He had an RBI single. But still, he's had at least a couple of 0-3 or 0-4 games with an RBI this season.

I would hope Beckett picks up victory No. 12 -- on his way to helping BYH win his bet -- staked to a 9-0 lead in the second inning at home against the Devil Rays.

We have a home run in the Giants-Reds game.

    Bonds? No.

    Griffey? No.

    Dunn? No.

    Arroyo!!!

Beckett gave up two runs in the third, but still leads 9-2. He has a whopping 7 strikeouts through three innings, too bad he has thrown 57 pitches.

What in the world had to happen for Dmitri Young to get a triple?

    Dear Reggie Lewis,

After you take a few steps on the warning track, there's this thing. It's called a wall. You should slow down before you hit it. Your neck and ego will thank me for this heads-up.

    Sincerely,
    Hammer Pants

Cubs now 4.5 games back. Can you hear the footsteps, MilwaukeeSportsJournalists.com?
