Just for that, Zeke, I'm not going to root as vociferously as I would have for the Twins when I'm at the game tomorrow. I'll choose instead to pay more attention to the amenities of the Skybox in which I will enjoy the game. Asshat.

Keep telling yourself that. The pitching has improved now that the worst defensive catcher in baseball is in San Diego. They're playing 1,000 percent better, and they're winning with their closer on the DL, no power from D. Lee and 2-3 automatic outs at the bottom of the lineup. The bullpen isn't losing tight games any more. Zambrano is the team's only starting pitcher with an ERA higher than four, and he looks like Zambrano now that Barrett is gone.

    Speaking of stinky cologne: Oakland.

Ichiro grounds into a DP, lines into another in the ninth, a laser to third. Damn!

I hate that ballpark, I hate the "crowds" of 15,000 in that cavernous biyatch, I hate those huge foul-in-play areas. Ugh.

    Well, that'll learn me. ;)

In all honesty, I'm happy they're playing better. Let's not all start blowing each other all at once, huh?

    They're the Cubs, after all.

Good point, Zeke, they are sounding like me - a Yankees fan - a couple of weeks ago when the Yanks had won 9 in a row and were allegedly back in it. Now what has happened? The Yankees still aren't very good, though they did take three of four from the Twinkies.

Which is why you'll find my bitter ass trashing the Twins every chance I can get.

Should have had that game yesterday, too. But they aren't going anywhere without trading for a couple bats (3B and DH) before the deadline, and we all know Terry Ryan would rather have root canal than deal during the season.

So, Minnesota could go on another hellacious run and maybe get the Wild Card. But I ain't holding my breath.

    Exactly.

    Cry me a fucking river.

The disgraceful way he ended his Marlins career was a pretty fucking solid tipoff.

Beckett only had the injury problems, but was always a pro.

Give Beckett a few weeks. Ol' Blister Magoo will rear its ugly head.

Jason Kubel's grand slam puts the Twins up 12-4. For now, I'm happy. [/shameless Twins Looser Fangirl]

As an aside, what is up with the Spanish thread title? Took me a while to figure out where the baseball thread was.
