Indeed, which is why everyone shouldn't have gotten so excited about his first appearance.

Let me get this straight: The Tigers are hitting .290 as a team?

    Whaaaaaat?!

Andrew Miller goes 7 strong, three hits, one run, four walks (two came in the seventh, but failed to score) and six strikeouts.

Longest outing of the year for him.

He was sharp, though the Red Sox were without Ortiz and Youkilis. It was also good to see someone rough up Julian Tavarez. I was getting sick of him picking up wins as a starter.

I wonder why ClevelandSportsJournalists.com has been so quiet?

Holy assbeating, Batman. Sox have held Twins to 32 so far today.

  10. I don't know what it is, but the Phils definitely put some runs on the board for Kyle Kendrick, who in return gives them six strong innings every time out. This would obviously be too much to ask the rest of the starters NOT named Cole Hamels.

If anybody's at Coors Field, would you please go out there and pull Jose Mesa?

To be fair, though, the Twins did win 12-0. I just love how the White Sox gave up 32 runs today ... 32! With any luck, the Royals somehow escape the cellar before the All-Star break.

And the Bucs have now won eight of their last 11 games.
