The story referenced a hospital occupying the lower floors of the building. Is that Lenox Hill Hospital?

The FAA has only said that it is a fixed wing plane. No more specifics have been released.

I really hope that building doesn't come down, but assuming it doesn't, man are the "THE GOVERNMENT DID A CONTOLLED DEMOLITION OF THE WTC" wackos gonna be screaming for the next few days.

CNN says Sotheby's Auction House is located right there. A contemporary art auction had started at 2 p.m.

Anybody from New York: What's the weather like in the city today?

CNN reporting NORAD is scrambling fighter jets to patrol over numerous American cities, because they aren't certain this is just an accident.

FAA now saying a small plane not a chopper...and FBI says it is an accident, nothing to do with terror.

Overcast, rain coming soon, but not yet.

I live less than 1/2 mile from the crash. We have friends with a one month old son who live in the building (much lower floor than the crash), but luckily was not home.

Overcast with the threat of rain. It is supposed to rain later tonight, though.

All signs are pointing towards accident.

Two bodies and some luggage found on the street on 72nd Street.... believed to be a small, single-engine plane that hit the building then fell to the ground below.
