I think I disagree with this. Not sure, but I think I do. I think Jordan would have a hard time being less than the best player, and God forbid, a reserve role player. He wasn't bad with the Wizards, certainly he could have continued playing had he wanted to and he wouldn't have disgraced himself by any means, but he also wasn't ever going to be among the top 10 players in the world again.

Micheal Jordan likes money also. Imagine the money generated from jersey / sneaker/ Jordan clothing if he were to come back.

Saw something the other day that he's still making something like $80 million a year, which I found hard to believe. But it's possible.

It seems so absurd now that he retired at 37 over a petty feud with Krause. He has to have some regret there.

I thought that I read that his clothing line does a billion annual so 80 million might be plausible.

He owns an NBA team. That $80 million a year makes him one of the league's poorest.

And he retired at 35, not 37.

$80 million a year is a lot of income even for a billionaire (which not all these guys are anyway). Plus in his case most of it is pretty well guaranteed as long as he doesn't go stab somebody or do something else that causes the Jordan brand to suffer.

The bigger question would be how much the world's most expensive divorce damaged his net worth, but that's still estimated to be $650 million.

Jordan was born February 17, 1963.

Jordan was 35 when he played his last game with the Bulls in the 1997-98 season.

After turning 40 in the 2002-03 season, Jordan played 30 games for the Wizards. He scored double-digits in 29-of-30. The only one he didn't, he scored four points in 15 minutes.

He also scored 43 against the Nets four days after turning 40. Hard to say he was struggling.

According to HoopsHype, his net worth is $525 million. It's crazy how many NBA owners really aren't worth that much.

If he showed up and played in the All-Star Game later today and actually looked ok, I wouldn't be surprised.

In the All-Star Game, against the best players in the world, all doing everything they can to show up Michael Jordan? You're crazy.

I said ok, not put on a show like post-retirement Magic Johnson

My fault. Should've noted the caveat, but I figured his standard for himself was a given.
