    And you were with her every step of the way.

    Five years ago, my youngest sister and I held my father's hand as he died. His oldest and his youngest.

    It was heartbreaking, but it was all right.

    peace be with all the dangerouslys. sounds like your mom had a great life. you certainly did right by her. i'm sure she's very proud. ;D ;D ;D

    Sorry, JD. My dad died a few years ago, but I still feel the connection and I imagine I always will. That's one thing I wish I knew at the time because the loss seemed so total, but it won't be quite like that.
