Just wanted to add another two cents about the great guy that is Kyle Wright. He's covered sports in both Crestview and Pensacola, so you're working for a guy who definitely knows the lay of the land. Don't know much about the paper, but you won't go wrong working with Kyle.
housing is more expensive that what is mentioned above. apartments are at least 450, and the cost rises every year. and you are 30 minutes from the beach, not just next door. want people to be informed.
Just got this message... Am I wrong to think they would have been better served to eliminate the possibility of an internal candidate taking the job before they adverised it nationally? Thank you for your interest in the Sports Editor position here at the Crestview News Bulletin. Less than a day after we posted the position, we had an internal candidate come forward to accept the job. He is due to start in mid-March. If for some reason our situation changes and the internal candidate is unable to take the position, I will be re-opening the search process and definitely will consider your information.
A guy I worked for Steve Andrews used to be the publisher or managing editor here. He hired Kyle as the SE. Said he was a nice guy.
