They want him not to have been elected President.

I don't know what the board tough guys want but personally I want him
    to do nothing.

Agreed. Anything Obama does right now is only going to make matters worse.

He should not allow himself to be goaded into doing something because of
politics. Thankfully he is not facing reelection so his mindset might be more
patient than it would be otherwise.

So let me get this straight: We won the cold war, right? But that we (sort of) continued to stop fighting the cold war after we won it has made is weak in regards to this situation? That makes sense.

Well, we know he has more flexibility now. He told Medvedev.

Just keep his mouth shut about it. The more he threatens action, the more ignorant and impotent he comes off.

LOLOLOLOLOL.. he's essentially Putin's butler. Otherwise he'd never sent John Kerry to flex his muscles.

It doesn't matter. Anything he does will be wrong in their eyes.

You got to know how stupid that looked to Medvedev, who knows as much about American political races as our media. Keep your friends close, your enemies closer, eh? Then, pouring out his promise of "accommodation" just really made him lose all credibility with the man. It had to. Bet the first thing Dmitri did when he went back to brother Vladimir was say "I bet you've already seen the clips of what that idiot told me. That country has fallen, comrade!"

A president who understands how the world works, how to negotiate and who doesn't look like a fool when he gets down to brass tacks.
This is what we get with an unvetted president/media creation.
