And that is precisely where the pressure should be applied. Make it tough on the oligarchs to travel, do business, buy luxury goods, run organized crime in the west and you might be able to persuade a reasonable end to all of this.

Putin's shown no fear in dealing with oligarchs. He's thrown them in prison, and stolen their wealth when they've crossed him.

    You forgot N***er.

My point about the Syrian red line was not about how it would deter Putin in that situation and more about how his threats are idle ones...especially when it comes to military action. Right or wrong he lost a ton of face.

Obama may have his weaknesses. But would you really prefer Mitt Romney in that chair. Man couldn't get through three sentences without talking about starting a business.

Any governor from Texas will have light years more international relations experience than the Rabble-Rouser-In-Chief.

Kerry should just remind Russia to hit the reset button that Hillary
    gave to them.

Unarmed Ukraine troops marching with Ukraine and Soviet flags are trying to back an airfield in Belbek. So far Russia (at least from Twitter reports) looks a bit puzzled as what to do. Oh and Putin pulled back troops on the Western border.

“The 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because, you know, the cold war has been over for 20 years,” /Barack Obama to Mitt Romney
