Romney would have attempted some leverage buyout or takeover, fired the entire army and replaced them with drones that don't cost as much. And pocketed a hefty bonus.

    Not achieved through diplomacy.

"The Reset" and the Noble Peace prize, otherwise it's been
amateur hour. When it really comes down to it, Hillary
as Sec of State was a joke. What experience did she have that
    qualified her for that job.

It wasn't meant to upset you. It was a play on Obama's "Proceed Governor" line at the debates.

As far as handling those other countries differently, how? Again. Besides war.

Or, put it this way. You are President YankeeFan. Russia is in the Crimea. War isn't an option, not only because your military is already worn out by two previous wars, not to mention, you don't want World War III. What do you do?

    More diplomatic failure.

Diplomacy was what these guys were supposed to be good at.

Nothing. the US jumping in added fuel to the fire. The outcome of Obama
getting involved in a public way was predictable.

But if Obama does nothing, he's "leading from behind". Or some stupid slogan like that.

Point being, he should have been out in front on this from the get-go.
    Instead, he's ..well, never mind.
